The design team of Tao Chen, Nana Lei, and Zijian Li have reimagined architectural lighting, creating a lightweight, diversified, and highly concealable lamp that respects the integrity of historic structures.

The inspiration for the RTG40 Flood Lamp came from the need to address the challenges posed by traditional floodlights when illuminating ancient buildings. The large size of conventional lamps often makes installation difficult in extreme positions and can potentially damage the building. The RTG40 Flood Lamp, however, is designed with convenience and concealment in mind, ensuring that the lamp can be installed without compromising the building's structure or aesthetics.

The RTG40 Flood Lamp stands out for its unique properties. It is lightweight and diversified, making it ideal for the structural and environmental peculiarities of ancient buildings. The lamp is made from aviation aluminum alloy material, measuring just 4.0cm x 4.0cm x 5.8cm and weighing only 0.2kg. Despite its small size, the lamp offers high-quality waterproof performance, thanks to its IP67 rating.

The lamp's design also includes a variety of installation accessories, enhancing its environmental adaptability. It can be installed on tiles, cornices, beams, and columns, achieving precise and concealed lighting effects. The lamp performs well both in daytime and nighttime, ensuring that the building is beautifully lit at all times.

The RTG40 Flood Lamp was launched in Turin in September 2019 and completed in Hangzhou in October 2020. The design team faced several challenges during the project, including achieving accurate and concealed lighting effects and expressing the emotion and unique charm of the building through soft, specific lighting. Despite these challenges, the team successfully created a lamp that not only illuminates but also enhances the beauty of ancient buildings.

The RTG40 Flood Lamp's innovative design and outstanding performance have not gone unnoticed. In 2022, it was awarded the Silver A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award, a prestigious accolade that recognizes top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
